Dodram, from Braille sticker production to providing supplies to the vulnerable… Sharing with the local community for the 4th year

Dodram Pig Farming Cooperative has embarked on mutual growth with the local community by continuing its sharing activities for vulnerable groups in the Gangdong-gu area of Seoul for the fourth year. This year, the cooperative expanded the scope of its social contribution by adding the production of Braille stickers for the visually impaired to its existing sharing activities, which involved providing daily necessities and its own products.

Dodram (Chairman Park Gwang-wook) announced that on October 12, together with the Gangdong Social Welfare Center in Seoul, they conducted volunteer activities to produce Braille stickers and deliver sharing boxes to vulnerable groups in the community.

This event was organized to foster mutual growth with the local community of Gangdong-gu, Seoul, where Dodram Tower is located, and is a social contribution activity involving Dodram's employees that has been ongoing for four consecutive years.

From Braille education to sticker production… Joining the improvement of information accessibility

In particular, this year, activities were conducted to improve product information accessibility for the visually impaired.

Prior to their volunteer activities, employees of Dodram Pig Farming Cooperative received training on the basic principles of Braille and the right of visually impaired people to access information.

Afterwards, using braille pins, I personally produced braille stickers containing product details and attached them to the packaging container.

This initiative was organized based on the observation that visually impaired individuals find it difficult to identify specific information, such as brand or company names, using only the existing Braille markings on some products.

Products with Braille stickers attached will be delivered separately through the Gangdong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.

Direct delivery of sharing boxes containing Dodram products and daily necessities

The employees also personally made sharing boxes for the local vulnerable.

The sharing box contained daily necessities such as toilet paper, wet wipes, and ramen, as well as various food items including Dodram's bone broth soup, smoked tenderloin, smoked pig's trotters, and canned pork.

After participating in the packaging of items, employees personally visited vulnerable households in Gangdong-gu to deliver the sharing boxes.

Dodram plans to continue its social contribution culture through this activity, which involves supporting the local community with necessary supplies while allowing employees to directly participate in the sharing process.

Park Gwang-wook, Chairman of Dodram Cooperative, stated, “It is meaningful that our employees put the value of sharing into practice by participating in the entire process, from producing Braille stickers to delivering the sharing boxes,” adding, “We will continue our win-win management to grow together with key local communities, including Gangdong-gu, and care for the underprivileged.”
