Meat delivered within 1 hour… Sales and volume of meat processing companies supplying B-Mart double
Order and transaction volume up 42% in the first half… Fresh food sales increase by over 50%

A consumption trend of ordering pork and beef and receiving them within an hour, much like ordering dinner on a delivery app, is rapidly spreading.
Baemin’s instant delivery grocery shopping service, ‘Baemin B Mart,’ is expanding its scope beyond quick commerce focused on processed foods and daily necessities to become a comprehensive grocery shopping platform that handles not only fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables but also meat.
In particular, as it expands its product reach from everyday consumer goods like Korean pork belly to major cuts of Korean beef, imported beef, marinated meat, branded livestock products, and private brand (PB) meat, it is gaining a growing presence as a new sales channel in the livestock distribution industry.
Both supplier revenue and sales volume more than doubled
The expansion of B Mart's meat sales is also confirmed by the actual performance of suppliers. According to companies supplying meat products to B Mart, through B MartBoth revenue and sales volume more than doubleddid.
It is significant that not only did sales increase due to a rise in unit prices, but sales volume also more than doubled. This can be seen as an on-site indicator that the expansion of meat product assortments is leading to an actual increase in consumption.
It’s not just sales that have increased… sales volume has also grown by more than double.
This trend aligns with the overall growth of B Mart. According to Woowa Brothers, the cumulative number of orders and transaction volume of B Mart in the first half of this year increased by approximately 42% each compared to the same period last year.
In the first quarter of this year, the number of orders increased by 37%, the number of customers by 22%, and transaction volume by 36% compared to the same period last year. The cumulative number of ordering customers exceeded 8 million, and the number of customers using the service three or more times a month also increased by 54% compared to the same period last year. These are indicators showing that B Mart is shifting from a simple "service for urgent use" to a grocery shopping channel used repeatedly.
50% Growth in Fresh Food… Private Brands Expanded to Meat
The growth of fresh food is particularly notable. In the first quarter of 2026, B Mart's fresh food sales increased by more than 50% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Sales of the private brand ‘Baemin Easy’ increased by 98% during the same period, and the number of products also increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. Baemin Easy started with ready-to-eat foods, processed foods, and bottled water, and is expanding its range to include fresh foods such as seafood and meat.

Looking at the actual app… raw meat, marinated meat, and imported meat are all on one screen.
In the ‘Meat, Seafood, and Eggs’ category of the B Mart app checked on October 12, not only raw meat such as chilled Korean pork belly and pork jowl but also meat products for different cooking purposes, such as chilled spicy pork bulgogi, Australian pork neck for shabu-shabu, and marinated beef belly for grilling, were displayed together.

400~600g raw meat, 250g marinated meat… A set tailored to ‘today’s meal amount’
The package weights confirmed on the app screen also stand out. The chilled Korean pork belly was 400g, the Australian pork neck for shabu-shabu was 500g, the spicy pork bulgogi was 600g, and the marinated beef belly was 250g.
Although the sample size is too small to generalize the packaging weight strategy for all B-Mart meat products, the confirmed items were primarily composed of sizes that are easy to consume immediately for a single meal or by small households or families, rather than in large quantities. This aligns with the consumption trends of immediate delivery.
From sirloin to stew meat… ‘Compressed Meat MD’
Hanwoo has also gone beyond a mere selection. The B Mart ‘Hanwoo Co-prosperity Week’ event, announced by the Hanwoo Self-Help Fund Management Committee for August 26 to September 1, 2026, includes grades 1 to 1++ Hanwoo sirloin, tenderloin, special cuts, striploin, brisket, bulgogi, and stewing meat.
The approach involves arranging sirloin, tenderloin, striploin, and special cuts for grilling; brisket and stew meat for soups; and bulgogi for home cooking. Rather than stocking a vast array of meat SKUs like large supermarkets, it is closer to a structure that condenses and provides core cuts with high consumption frequency and specific cooking purposes.

Jeju pork, Nonghyup Ansim Hanwoo... even branded livestock products
B Mart held a special meat promotion in June of this year featuring Jeju pork and Nonghyup Ansim Hanwoo. Moving beyond simply distinguishing between pork and beef, it is utilizing origin and brand as factors in product selection.
Sales of agricultural and livestock products directly purchased by B Mart from domestic production areas from January to May of this year also increased by 53% compared to the same period last year. While agricultural products account for a large portion of the expansion of direct purchasing from production areas, the continued special promotions for Hanwoo and pork, as well as the sale of branded livestock products, demonstrate that livestock products are also becoming a major category in B Mart's fresh food strategy.
‘Fast delivery’ alone is not enough… Price competition is also intensifying
B Mart is intensifying its price competition as well as delivery speed. By expanding its ongoing discount program, "Lowest Price Challenge," it is placing products at the forefront that allow consumers to easily compare prices with other distribution channels.
The actual meat screen on the app also displays the discount rate, regular price, selling price, and price per 100g simultaneously. In other words, by encouraging not only the "convenience of receiving quickly" but also unit price comparisons, it has effectively entered into a grocery shopping competition with existing online malls and large supermarkets.
Consumers who used to order food on delivery apps now order meat.
The significance of B Mart's growth for the livestock distribution industry goes beyond the mere addition of another online retailer. This is because the very point of contact where consumers purchase meat is changing.
With delivery apps entering the meat sales market alongside hypermarkets, SSMs, butcher shops, online specialty malls, and early morning delivery services, consumers can now choose purchasing channels based on price, product, and delivery time.
In particular, the fact that the supplier's revenue and sales volume have more than doubled simultaneously demonstrates that these changes are leading to an actual increase in livestock product sales, going beyond simple platform expansion or variety diversification.
Consumers who used to order food through delivery apps are now ordering groceries and meat as well. The growth of B Mart and the expansion of meat sales demonstrate that the boundaries between food delivery platforms and the existing food and livestock distribution industry are rapidly blurring.
